CoMotion Appoints Automobility CEO Bill Russo to Global Strategic Council Ahead of Inaugural Riyadh Forum

Paris, France and Shanghai, China — September 5, 2025 — CoMotion, the leading global platform for sustainable, multimodal urban mobility, today announced the appointment of Mr. Bill Russo, Founder and CEO of Automobility, to its Global Strategic Council. Russo, a former Chrysler executive and Harman International Vice President who also led global transformation initiatives at IBM, is recognized worldwide as a leading authority on the electrification and digital transformation of the automobile and mobility industries, particularly in the Greater China region.
Russo has been at the forefront of the auto industry’s historic transformation, as vehicles shift from mechanical products to software-defined, intelligent devices on wheels. His thought leadership, including widely cited analyses of the “smart vehicle brain”, has redefined global understanding of how semiconductors, sensors, and connectivity are reshaping competitive advantage in the automotive sector.
As part of the partnership, Automobility, the Shanghai-based strategy advisory firm serving the world’s leading OEMs, suppliers, automotive distributors, and global technology startups, will also join the inaugural CoMotion GLOBAL (Dec. 7–9, Riyadh) as an official Partner, strengthening CoMotion’s ability to convene top innovators and decision-makers from Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas.
